Cancellation Policy

At Gita Book Shop, we understand that you may need to cancel your order for various reasons. Customers can request order cancellations before the order is shipped.

How to Cancel Your Order:

• Provide your order number and registered contact information

Our customer support team will review your cancellation request and process it as quickly as possible. You will receive a confirmation email once your cancellation is successfully processed.

After your order leaves our facility and is in transit with our courier partner, we are unable to cancel the shipment. If you no longer wish to receive the order after it has been shipped, you may choose not to accept the delivery.

For orders you do not wish to keep after shipment, please refer to our Return & Refund Policy for information on how to return products after delivery.

For orders paid in advance through online payment methods such as credit/debit cards, net banking, UPI, or digital wallets, the following cancellation terms apply:

• The refund will be credited within 5-7 business days after cancellation confirmation
• If the order is canceled before shipment, the full amount will be refunded
• Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used during purchase

You will receive an email notification once the refund has been initiated. Please note that the time taken for the refund to reflect in your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

For orders placed with the Cash on Delivery payment option, the following cancellation guidelines apply:

• COD orders can be canceled before shipment by notifying our customer service team

• No refund processing is required since payment has not yet been made

We request all customers to cancel COD orders before shipment if they no longer wish to receive the product, rather than refusing delivery. This helps us maintain efficient operations and continue offering COD services to all customers.

While we strive to accommodate cancellation requests wherever possible, certain situations may prevent us from canceling orders:

Orders Already Processed for Shipment: Once an order enters our shipping process and a tracking number has been generated, it is considered "processed for shipment" and cannot be canceled. At this stage, the order is either already dispatched or about to be handed over to our courier partner.

Special Orders: Books that are custom-made, specially imported, or ordered specifically for you cannot be canceled once the order is confirmed. These items are procured or created based on your order and cannot be restocked or resold.
